Stitched, the Film

StitchedYesterday at our SAQA parlour meeting we got to watch Stitched. It is a documentary on the current quilt world. It specifically features Caryl Bryer Fallert, Hollis Chatelain, and Randall Cook. It follows them through a full year as they each create a quilt for the International Quilt Festival in Houston.

I’ve been looking forward to seeing this film. I’ve heard so many good things about it. What no one told me is that several times throughout the movie, you can see my quilt, Captivated! I was stunned and ended up laughing throughout the movie each time it showed up! “Captivated” ended up winning an honorable mention at that show.

Captivated by Maria Elkins

So next time you watch Stitched, watch for my quilt and think of me 🙂

Knowing that your quilt will be seen repeatedly is sort of like getting viewers choice award. I be giggling too.

  2. Hi Maria, I’m glad you liked the film and that your quilt made it into the film. It is a lovely quilt. Please continue to tell your friends about our film. Thanks, Jena Moreno, director of Stitched
