Loving Amalya

Our sweet little Amalya arrived this morning, September 10, via cesarean section at 7:51 AM. He was 4 lbs 9 oz and measured 16-1/8″ long. We were thrilled that Mommy and Daddy had some special time with him, and then the three sets of grandparents and three great-grandmothers all had a chance to snuggle him. He lived about one hour and twenty minutes before he slipped peacefully into the loving hands of Jesus.

Other family members were also present and had a chance to admire him and hold him.

We feel so blessed that he was born alive and we were able to shower him with love for the time he was on this earth. It has not been an easy road. It’s never easy to watch your child face extremely difficult circumstances. But our daughter and her husband showed amazing strength and loved their son every minute he was within their care. What an amazing testimony.

You can read more about their story by following the “Amalya” category.

  8. My toughts and prayers are with your daughter, her husband, and your family. The strength and courage of your daughter’s and her husband’s unconditional love and saying yes to life however short is a beautiful example of God’s grace. Thier selfless love is a testimony of shining light in a world so often cloaked in selfish darkness.
Blessing to you and your family.

  11. What a precious gift God gave you all… 80 minutes to hold, cuddle, and love that very special baby. I know God is going to use your family in amazing ways because of this journey and your example of faith shown. I know God is smiling as he holds that precious one in his hands.
