I just finished updating my gallery page so it now features Windblown and Embrace 1. Writing artist’s statements is definitely not my strength, so if you have questions about either of these pieces, or if you have ideas of what other information should be included, please feel free to let me know.

I’m a calendar girl on my first blogiversary

Today is my one year anniversary of starting my blog! I can’t believe I wrote 180 posts in that time. Today is also the first day of May, so thousands of people around the world are changing the page on their 2011 Quilting Arts calendar and seeing my “Strawberry Delight” quilt. (Unless, of course, they’re like me, and they forget to turn the page until half way through the month!) I’m always a bit surprised at how far in advance publishers need to be working. For instance, I entered this contest in February 2010, and found out in May 2010 [ ... ]

Hopefully the website is back up

It’s been a long five days for AT&T and SBC Global customers. For some reason, those companies decided to “black hole” the webserver that three of my websites are on, along with more than 200 other customers. Thank you to everyone who helped to resolve this. I know Lesa talked to SBC for more than an hour last Friday. Bethany talked to AT&T several times, including 1-1/2 hours today. I spent a long time working with my webhost, too. It looks hopeful that the issue has now been resolved!

Almost Done

I’m almost done. I’ve been wanting to renovate my website, give it a new look, and add a blog for nearly a year now. About two weeks ago I decided enough was enough! I found a free WordPress template I liked enough to modify, I changed the colors, and then I fiddled with the code until I figured out how to make it do what I wanted. Hopefully I’ll be ready to go live in the coming week.
