AlphaBuddies Baby Quilt

A dear friend of the family who grew up with our daughters is having her first baby, so it gave me an excuse to make a (gasp!) traditional quilt block and practice my piecing.

About six months ago, I happened to buy this quilt kit using Andover’s Alpha Buddies. I bought it because a couple years back I had the priviledge of meeting the designer, Nancy Davis-Murty. I’ve always loved animal quilts and alphabet quilts, so this fabric line was perfect.

So, the top is complete. I’m thankful I still have several months left before I need to quilt and finish it.

I love it! Can’t imagine what you’ll make when your own girls have babies.

    1. Well, I confess that at the same time I bought this quilt kit, I also bought some “Hungry Caterpillar” fabric!
