Cubbyholes beforeYears ago I snagged this cool cubbyhole shelf. Have I mentioned how much I love cubbyholes and drawers? I saw this out of the corner of my eye as I was driving by a garage sale. I immediately stopped, ran over, and plunked down my $5. I was thrilled! Then I hurried home and put it in my quilting studio.
Cubbyholes closeupThrough the years I’ve looked for small containers to create drawers. I’ve collected a hodgepodge of Tupperware containers, plastic boxes, cardboard boxes, even disposable aluminum loaf pans. They helped keep small things contained, but it always looked messy to me. I know, I know. It was usable, but I wanted more!
Cubbyholes afterLast week I searched the web for small plastic boxes that would work. I couldn’t find anything that was the right measurements, so I finally settled on some white cardboard boxes/bins. The order arrived yesterday, so today (instead of doing what I was supposed to do) I just had to reorganize my cubbyholes. Ahhhh (sigh of satisfaction) …somehow they make everything look so much better. I think I just like uniformity and consistency. The only drawback is that I had to buy fifty, but I really needed fifty-six. Now I’ll need to look around for a source where I can buy just six more.
LeftoversIn the meantime I need to find a home for these leftovers!

I will take your leftovers!!!!!! Send them to me! I could sure use them, I have been out of a job for 2 years, and trying to buy supplies is really hard!
Silly Bethany! “Leftover” doesn’t mean I’m going to throw it in the trash. It just means it’s not going to live in the cubbyholes. I need to find a new home for it. But, I do have two of them, so one can live at your home if you want 🙂

What kind of supplies do you need? Fabric? Tools? What kind of quilting do you do? Traditional? Art quilts?
