1988 Christmas ornaments
During this time period, pretty much the only craft I did was cross stitch. It was small, portable, and easy to stitch for just a few minutes if that’s all I had. The girls loved to help pull the needle through. I can’t tell you how many times I had to rethread the needle when they were helping! These two ornaments came as kits.

The “Sing a joyful song” ornament was for DD#1 because even at the age of three she would walk around the house making up little songs, especially ones that said how much she loved Jesus. That year she was even in the Christmas presentation that our little church had, and she sang a little song that she made up on the spot. So precious!

The “Silent Night” ornament was for DD#2. I usually sang songs to the girls at bedtime, and at the age of two, she only knew that last word of each line of the song, and she would sing it out very enthusiastically! So when I sang “Silent Night” it sounded more like “Silent NIGHT, holy NIGHT, all is CALM,…” Well, you get the idea ๐Ÿ™‚
