Watercolor class 4

Watercolor class 4Yesterday I had my fourth watercolor class. I was running late about 15 minutes late. I sketched out a quick portrait of DD#1 as soon as I got there, and ended up doing this in about an hour and a half.

Watercolor definitely doesn’t behave like other paints I’ve used! They just don’t stay put. I tried my hand at glazing, but I wasn’t waiting long enough for the previous layer to dry, so the next layer messed things up. Patience, patience…never was very good at that. I’m going to have to learn the strategy of working on different parts while other parts are drying.

New projectWhen I got home, I started a new project. Here’s a sneak preview. Any guesses at what it is?

  1. Your watercolour has movement and character, your work is lovely.
No idea what the new project is nor the scale of it.
