Blown away!

posted in: Awards, Windblown | 84

I don’t know how to say this — I’m blown away!!! I just got a surprise phone call from Crystal at IQA. She told me the most amazing news! Windblown won one of the top eight awards for the upcoming International Quilt Festival in Houston!

I wasn’t sure I heard her right, so I made her say it three times while I laughed nervously. Then I wrote it down so it would sink in… Wow! My stomach is still all fluttery. I have no more words! Thanks for letting me share 🙂

The first time I saw this quilt, I knew it was a winner. I am a mother of a red head and your quilt captured the beauty of a wonderful head of hair that when the light hits the many layers of color it is amazing. So is your quilt. Congratulations!
