Glorious quilting

I’m still working on the “glorious” quilt challenge. I pulled out the fusible batting scraps and had a piece big enough for this little quilt, so that’s what I used. It’s quick and easy. The directions say to press it for 3 seconds on the wool setting. For my iron, at least, that didn’t even effect the fusible stuff, so I cranked up the heat a bit and pressed it with steam for two to three times longer than directed. That seemed to work better.

So far I have all the major seams outlined. Now I need to get creative and figure out how I’ll finish quilting it.

I have another confession…I’m weak. I don’t have little kids. I don’t have grandkids. Probably won’t for several years, at least. It’s not even blue! So why do I keep buying kids’ prints? I repeat, I’m weak. I did not exercise self-control. But, it was on sale ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Sales justify a lot of things, don’t they? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Been there, done that!!!

  2. Wait until you HAVE a grandchild…..it makes you even weaker!!!!

    1. LOL! I’m afraid of that!

  3. LOL. From what I am seeing you’ll have all the fabric, but won’t actually start the quilt until mom is in labor. I was in a panic yesterday because I didn’t have my label sewn on the challenge quilt and we still have four days to turn them in. I can’t imagine starting just a week out (and ending up with awesome like yours).

    1. Panic is reserved for four hours before ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Hehe ๐Ÿ˜€ I couldn’t have resisted if I’d seen it in real life, and I have no little ones, either.

  5. A good sale brings out the joy of having in all of us ;o)

  6. It was the Grouchy Ladybug. In my book, nuf said!

    1. Well, I HAD to get it because I already have the Very Hungry Caterpillar fabric!
