Remembering Amalya

Yesterday we spent as much time as possible creating memories of our time with little Amalya. Several of us brought our Bibles with us, and we put his footprint at key verses in our Bibles.

I put one footprint at Psalm 139, right over verses 13 through 15, because we believe God doesn’t make mistakes. He intended Amalya to be exactly who he was, and we truly were blessed by him.

I put another footprint at Jeremiah 1:5 because we’ve seen how Amalya’s story has been a blessing to so many people.

I know little remembrances like these will mean so much in the coming months and years.

You can read more about Amalya’s story by following the “Amalya” category.

I’m so so sorry for your loss <3 my husband and I had a baby boy, Shane, last march and he passed away due to trisomy 18 after only 11 hours. It was the most beautiful and special 11 hours of our lives. We felt the same way about his life and celebrating the little time we had. The things you've done to remember him are so beautiful. I wish I had some amazing story of us finding out why God allowed it, but I don't. But we do know that He is good and His love is perfect. We may never know why the Lord only chose to give us these amazing boys for only a few short moments, but its incredible to know that when we go to be with our Lord, we'll be there, worshipping Him with our babies for all eternity. <3 the Lord gave me psalm 27.13-14 "I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord" – I hope it brings you comfort like it did for me.
And if you or your daughter ever want to talk, please please write me! <3 I know how hard it can be and how overwhelming it can feel. I don't know you or your family but I love you and I will pray for you all. xoxo

  5. What a lovely way to celebrate and remember your sweet grandbabby. Praying God’s comfort for you all.

Psalms 139 13-15 holds a special place in my heart concerning my grandson too. I can’t help but think of your father greeting Amalya in heaven. Praying blessings for you in your joy and grief intermingled.
