Shopping for fabric: Fabric Shack

shopping-fabricshackAnother place to buy fabric! I’ve been shopping at Fabric Shack for twenty years. Just a short jaunt from my home, it will always be one of my favorite places to buy fabric. And, when I don’t have time for the short trip, I can always buy fabric online — what a bonus!

Their website is organized by fabric line, which is nice when you want to buy several coordinating fabrics. If you want to see what’s new, their online shop is organized with the newest first and the date is listed so you know when that line was released.

shopping-fabricshack-3Fabric Shack carries all 303 colors of Kona cotton, so you can always get the exact color you need. If you go to the store in person and the Kona color you wanted isn’t in the store, just ask and they will get it out of storage for you.

The website has a special “Sale-A-bratioN” section where sale fabric is organized by price, beginning at $2.98 per yard. They also have an interactive design wall so you can see everything together.

shopping-fabricshack-2When I placed an order with Fabric Shack a while back, it arrived promptly in a First Class cardboard envelope. I appreciate the fact that they first placed the fabric in a plastic bag so if the envelope got wet, the fabric would be protected.

They always do such a nice job packing the fabric and getting it to me quickly. If you ever have a chance to visit this store in person, be sure you do it, but if you can’t, now you have another way to shop this great store.
