Little Punkin wins a third place ribbon!

I checked out the International Quilt Association’s website this morning and found out that my quilt, Little Punkin, won a third place ribbon at the Houston quilt festival! “Bap” would have loved that! He was (as he was quick to tell everyone) Hazel’s favorite grandparent 😉 You can see all the winners here.

    All play and no work

It’s been all play and no work lately. Isn’t that what grandmas do? So, how does my studio get so messed up if I’m not even doing anything in there? Well, I need some major motivation! I figure if I tell you how messy my studio is, then I’ll have an urgent reason to get…

    A little punkin surprise!

The weather is getting cooler and I’m eager for some yummy pumpkin-flavored treats — maybe a steaming pumpkin spice latte or some warm pumpkin pie with real whipped cream. Well, today I received a little punkin surprise that I want to share with you! I got an email announcing that my quilt, Little Punkin, won…

    Updated Quiltmaker’s Documentation form

As you may know, every time I speak or teach at a quilt guild, I always encourage people to take the time to document their quilts. Because of this, I have developed a Quiltmaker’s Documentation form that I distribute freely. The form helps you remember all the little details about your quilt, all the information…
