This picture was taken at the quilt show my guild just sponsored. The quilt was so large it had to be hung sideways. I (quickly and badly) edited the photo to hide the quilt that was hanging behind it so the irregular edge could be seen.
This is the second quilt I made in honor of the millennium. (Actually, I was just looking for a hand project to bring along to all my daughter’s volleyball games and the millennium was a good excuse!) I started both quilts in January 2000. I traded fabrics with other quilters so that I could get 2000 different fabrics for each quilt, and each quilt has exactly 2000 pieces. They are both hand pieced and hand quilted. I finished the first quilt in 2003, and finally finished this one in April 2010.
This is the first quilt when it was shown in the 2004 MVQG show. Why did I make two? Well, I had to make one for each daughter.

There was so much going on with the show, I forgot to comment on this. I hope more people noticed it…I think I have it in the Guild page album…I will go in and ‘claim’ it for you…
