Introducing Boaz David!

I’m very happy to announce the arrival of the newest member of our family, Boaz David! Boaz made his appearance this morning, March 2 at 8:17 AM. He was 8 lbs 3 oz and measured 21″ long. Momma and baby are both doing great. What a wonderful new blessing! The literal translation of the name Boaz is “strength is within him” and it also means “swiftness.” Boaz is a Biblical … Continue reading

Baby (non)quilts

It’s true. I haven’t made quilts for my two future grandsons, due next month on March 4 and March 13. For that matter, I haven’t made quilts for my granddaughters either, who are nearly 3 and 5. Poor kids. But, I did manage to make some simple baby blankets for the new babies. Very simple. Just a quilt panel sewed to some minky with their names appliqued to the back … Continue reading

Time for a baby shower

My blog has been quiet but I’ve been busy, busy! Since Christmas I spent loads of time helping my mother pack up her belongings and move from a big house to a condo. Granted, I’m still … Continue reading

Day 2 of the New Year

I had packed away two cubbyholes of fabric into each small size U-Haul boxes (which I numbered so I would know where to put them back), so it was a simple matter of filling the … Continue reading

Three years later

A lot of changes took me by surprise. Yes, it still hurts, and I miss him something dreadful. He was my closest friend: the one who stuck by me no matter what, the one who cheered me on, the one … Continue reading
