We always get together with a big group of friends to watch the Super Bowl. Some of us aren’t so interested in football, so we bring crafts to work on between commercials.
I started this “Alpha Buddies” baby quilt last August. A couple weeks ago, I figured I had better finish up the quilt pretty quick, so I had Shari Brindley (who is president of my quilt guild) put it on her long arm and quilt it for me. This is the first time I’ve ever had someone else quilt one of my quilts, but she did a really nice job and I was so relieved to have it off my “to do” list. The baby was due on February 1, but “Poppy” (as future Mom and Dad call the little one) hasn’t been born yet. Tomorrow night I plan on binding it, so today I’m trimming it and preparing the binding and the label. Grandma and Grandpa are going out to see the new baby the following week, and they have kindly offered to hand deliver it for me.
Isn’t it cute? The fabric was designed by Nancy Davis-Murty.
