I guess all the creativity has been sucked out of me (temporarily, of course). This week, the most that I could muster was to paint my old, worn shoes a pretty shade of blue. I’ve been wanting to do it for a while. When they were new, they were a reasonable light blue, but recently they became more of a dirty gray. I’m awful at taking “before” pictures, so you’ll have to take my word on it.
To remedy the situation, I simply pulled out a bottle of textile paint and a brush. I’ll probably ues a heat gun to heat-set the paint a bit, but it will likely cure over time as well. And these aren’t really good shoes to wear when it’s raining anyway
I guess it really wasn’t too creative since I didn’t even mix a special color. It was just Jacquard Neopaque 584 blue straight from the bottle. That’s okay. Blue shoes make me smile. Now that I’m “old,” I feel no obligation to be practical.
On to the next thing. Something that doesn’t require much brain power. I’m thinking of maybe a shower curtain from one or two of the jelly rolls I’ve been hoarding.

Bright blue shows…all you need is a purple dress and a red hat and you will fool people into thinking you are old…but I don’t believe it…
I did have a couple of teenagers laugh at me when I was wearing my blue sandals with blue jeans, a blue t-shirt, and a blue polka-dot sweater. Honestly, I didn’t plan it that way, but why should I care what a couple of teens think anyway?
I have those shoes!! Mine are brown and looking really worn so I’ll be pulling out the textile paint today. Thanks for the great idea….
