2013 IQF Cincinnati, part 2

I thought I’d share a few more quilts from the 2013 International Quilt Festival in Cincinnati. This one was sweet hubby’s favorite. He particularly liked the intense turquoise color.

I always take pictures of beautiful quilting. Here are a few quilted details that caught my eye and begged me to stare.

I’ll leave you with just one more that made me smile. This one was made by a quilter who lives in Chiba, Japan, which is where my brother has lived for the last 25 years or so.

In the quilt description, she speaks of being a part of a quilting bee for the past ten years. I had to smile because my brother didn’t think there were any quilters in Japan. Of course, he wouldn’t know any here in America either, except for me. Maybe I should tell my brother to go find this woman and say “Hi” to her for me.
