The Des Moines Area Quilter’s Guild had me come to their quilt guild to speak and teach last week. What a great group! They have a daytime and evening meeting. I enjoyed presenting a trunk show for one and lecturing on the Lost Quilt Come Home website and how to protect quilts for the other.
Sweet hubby is always terrific taking care of all the behind-the-scenes things. He really loves talking to everyone.
The day after the lectures, I taught the Making Faces workshop to a group of eager quilters. Some of these are still in progress, but didn’t they do a great job with their portraits?
I also taught Perspective for Quilters the following day, but by then I completely forgot to talk pictures. I think I need to convince sweet hubby to be in charge of photos — that way it would be his responsibility to remember!
Thank you Deb and everyone else who made us so welcome.

Thank you so much. My daughter recognized herself. The father or the twins, our son, said that now I had to make a picture of Auntie Simone and Audrey or she would be upset. Twins you do things in duplicate.

Thanks for a wonderful fun class. Your patience and help with everyone was wonderful and the end result a testament to that. I look forward to using your technique on future projects.
