This is the fourth in my “Foreign Language” series. I am placing all of the quilts that are started in a Nancy Crow workshop in this series. I understand realism very well, so it is more like my native language. Abstract art is a mystery to me, more like a foreign language. That’s one reason I keep taking these workshops: I want to understand abstract art better. I also enjoy just working with the colors and the fabric. I think I am a process-oriented person. I probably would be very happy just sitting at my sewing machine and piecing a thousand half square triangles. Who knows? Maybe I’ll try it sometime just to use up some of the fabric I’ve been hoarding! But not now. I want to tackle one more UFO!
Autumn Fields Complete!
I am happy to say that my “Autumn Fields” quilt top is done!
