Today I had the opportunity to hostess a SAQA Parlour Meeting for the Southwest and Central Ohio regions. Despite an inch or two of snow, we had 27 people come and spend a few hours together. It is always so much fun to get a bunch of quilters together! I heard several people comment how much of an inspiration it was to see everyone else’s work, especially at this time of year.
I had the opportunity to share Sheer Whim, but of course I’m not in the picture since I was taking the pictures.
The thing that always amazes me about art quilters is how diverse we are. I think just about every technique was represented today: traditional piecing in innovative ways, hand and machine applique, fused applique, painting, printing, dyeing, drawing, you name it. Hopefully we’ll be able to do this again later in the year.
