If you are wondering why I’ve dropped off the face of the earth for the last few months, this is what it looks like when you and your family become the wedding coordinator, caterer, chief designer, craftsmen, and all around slave labor. This was 7 AM on Friday morning when we arrived at the church to set up for our daughter’s wedding.
I was very thankful that we had my husband’s late-1970’s panel van to act as our storage POD. Here’s our regular minivan with the more fragile things.
Thanks to LOTS of willing and eager volunteers, this is pretty much what the church looked like at 6 PM Friday night. I was so tired by the end of Friday that I forgot to take pictures, so the aisle runner was actually rolled out Saturday morning.
I only have time to post one more picture. This is the happy couple right before their first look.

Maria, you made the room look absolutely breathtaking! Hannah, Garri, Tim and I discussed it over dinner that night. We each were sharing our favorite part of the wedding and next to “how happy Lydia looked”, we all agreee that the room was beautiful and it was truley inspriing to know that so many loving hands came together to bring it to be! We were fortunate to witness such a wonderful thing!
