We had the first day of our church garage sale today. I started early in the morning, helping to set up. Volunteering to set up has distinct advantages. I got to shop first! Look at this nice little treasure I brought home for my studio. For just $3, I got a nice little chest of drawers.
Over all, it is 15″ wide by 12″ deep and 10″ high. The top two drawers are just less than 2″ deep, and the bottom one is about 2-1/2″ deep. It was originally a chest for silverware. The satin-lined dividers lifted out easily, leaving some nice shallow drawers, which just happens to be my favorite thing. I think this little chest will be the perfect place to stow some special quilty treasures! I’m very tempted to paint it bright blue.
If you’re local, we have one more day of the sale. No, I didn’t buy all the good stuff. I still have my eye on four yards of an adorable children’s print. If it doesn’t sell by the end of the day tomorrow, it just might come home with me, too.
