I got my advance copies of the 2011 Quilting Arts Gifts magazine! Inside you can find instructions on how to make your own easy, no-sew portrait ornaments.
It’s fun to see these published. I made a Christmas ornament for my girls each year when they were growing up. (I documented each of them on this blog last year, one per day beginning on November 28.) I made the portrait ornaments in 2009, the same year I filmed the “Making Faces” DVD. The girls want me to keep making them! I can’t promise anything. It gets harder to think of something original each year ๐
Anyway, I have one copy of 2011 Quilting Arts Gifts magazine to give away. I believe in easy, no-hoop-jumping giveaways! Just leave a comment, and on Thursday, September 15, I’ll pick a winner.

Would love to win a copy! I will have to drive to Asheville to get it if I don’t win (about an hour drive); it would be more fun to have it delivered!
I’m already looking at older copies of Christmas mags and books. Of course, I’ll wait ’til the very last minute to start on anything…

Congrats on getting published! I made beaded/quilted fabric ornaments last year and sold most of them, so I’ll probably see if I can get some turned out again this year. Tiny little art quilts! Fun to do the small things once in a while!
