Today is our 30th wedding anniversary! Simply amazing! I’m so thankful God brought us through. There were some really difficult years, but I can honestly say there is no one I’d rather spend time with than my sweet hubby. I genuinely look forward to the next thirty years with him and beyond.
At our wedding all those years ago, we had a friend sing “Happy Family” by Gary Dunham. This was our hope and prayer for our future together. Sorry, I couldn’t find the song anywhere on the web so you could listen to it, but here are the lyrics.
Thank You, Lord; thank You for giving her to me.
I thought it was the end, but You came and changed it.
And thank You, Lord; thank You for taking such a lonely man.
You took my life in Your hands and You rearranged it.A happy family is quite a thing to see now days,
And Lord, I hope that everybody sees us;
So I can tell them that a man can take a wife,
And share the sunshine and the storms together,
But love won’t stand the weather without Jesus.Thank You, Lord, for being a Dad; it never was like this.
I see how much I have missed by doing it my way.
And Lord, You are the One Who’s given me my wife and family.
You’ve given me new life to do it Your way.A happy family is quite a thing to see now days,
And Lord, I hope that everybody sees us;
So I can tell them that a man can take a wife,
And share the sunshine and the storms together,
But love won’t stand the weather without Jesus.
Thank you, Dave, for standing strong and firm through it all. Thank you for being my best friend and biggest supporter. I’m so thankful God brought us together.

How wonderful! A big congratulations to you both! We’ve weathered sunshine and storms together for 21 years of marriage now and I wouldn’t like to do it without God as the anchor of our lives.
Oh, Congratulations!! 😀 What a beautiful anniversary post. And the quilt is amazing.
Congratulations!
