Decluttering, day 2

posted in: Studio/Organizing | 0

This is where I’m starting today. I purged just about all of the stuff in the first cupboard. A few things, like the cans of spray paint, are going to be relocated to the garage. Most of the other things consisted of college or professional level art supplies such as block printing ink, silk screen ink, acrylic medium, and things of that nature. I’m setting that aside for now and think I will try to sell those things through Craigslist or something of that sort. If you’re local and any of those things appeal to you, contact me. I may post photos at some point in the future, but I need to stay focused on decluttering right now.

As you can see in the “after” picture, I emptied out all the drawers except the one containing various tapes and the one containing glue.

Now I’ve started on decluttering the second cupboard. That one contains things that are more applicable to working with fabric: textile paints and inks, paintsticks and crayons, texture plates and stencils, rubber stamps and stamp pads. I need to spend some time today seriously considering how much of that I will actually use in the future. So, I’m going to grab a quick bite to eat, a cup of coffee, and then I’m off to work! I’ll report back tomorrow.
