A few days ago I also just happened to pick up a can of transparent glass spray paint on clearance. At the time, I didn’t know what I was going to do with it, but it was too tempting to pass up. (Lately I’ve on a little spray paint kick. Maybe if I had fabric spray paint I would get some quilting done!)
Anyway, back to the main story. Today, when I was supposed to be putting chicken in the oven, I decided to jazz up my boring ceiling fan by painting the new shades blue. Now I’m thinking that maybe I need to glue some fun blue fabric to the blades of the ceiling fan. Sounds like a good project for someday when I am procrastinating…Blue light fixture
Yes, I’m still working on that secret project that I mentioned a couple weeks back, but I’m always willing to squeeze in a few serendipitous mini-projects. Yesterday I ran through my favorite thrift store and happened to find these beautiful light shades. Perfect timing since just a couple weeks ago there was a little accident and two light shades on the ceiling fan in my studio got broken. We put up some old ruffly ones (below), but they actually came off of the fan in the workout room so I didn’t want to leave them there.

Ohhhhh please come to my house and procrastinate!!!
Oh lovely!!!! Would it help if I gave you a couple of blue FQs to get you back to quilting? Oh wait – no…you have quite a market of blue fabric already…! How about blue quilted blade covers?????
I quite like how the energy saving lightbulbs make it look like white centres to blue roses! very elegant.

Isn’t it funny how we still craft when we procrastinate? So are we really procrastinating?
