Out came the spray paint, off came the new cover, and on went the paint. I started out with a nice navy, but ran out of paint. So, I had to put on a second coat that is a nice cobalt blue. Doesn’t exactly match, but it does cover up the rust and scratches.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to actually iron any clothes. As you can see from the picture, I don’t even vacuum or take out the trash! And since I don’t do much piecing, I’m not even pressing open seams! The ironing board is mostly much just for fusing fabric, but now it can look pretty, too.
