When I got to the store, I was thrilled to find that all of their fat quarters, including batiks, were on sale for $1 each! I gleefully sifted through every drawer of the little treasures looking for tone-on-tone fabrics that would work good in color wheels and other color exercises. I confess I actually bought more than in the photo, but I didn’t want to look too greedy!
My favorite fabric store, Fabric Shack in Waynesville, Ohio, thoughtfully had a Black Friday sale yesterday. Since I missed out on the little netbook I wanted to buy, I decided to console myself by making the thirty minute drive to see what they had on sale. I was hoping to beef up some of the cubbyholes that were a little skimpy after I sorted by fabric stash by color. I’ve always bought a lot of blue, but I have very few in the red, red-orange, and orange range of colors, except when it comes to muted hues that I bought because they were basically skin or hair tones.
