1989 angel ornaments For several years I collected angel figurines, so it seemed appropriate that I make angel ornaments for my own two little angels. That year I had been making things out of twisted paper. It was an inexpensive craft material that you could use to make baskets, wreaths, dolls, and all sorts of other items. I haven’t seen it in craft stores for quite a while, so imagine it is long out of fashion. It was more appropriate to country decorating anyway. I happened to find metallic and iridescent versions of the twisted paper which seemed extra fancy for the holidays. Of course, the girls loved anything shiny, too.
