I’m also doing a few other compositions in this exploration. For one, I needed to make a bunch of circles of various sizes. I wanted to see how different sizes looked on the 24″ square background I picked out, so I went to my drawer that holds all my Tupperware seals. I have loads of seals in various sizes, so it was easy to lay them out to see how different sizes would look. Then I pulled out my stash of red and pink fabrics to start selecting ones that I might use. I was able to lay out my choices on the seals to get a general idea of how it might look before I started cutting. Now I’m off to cut and fuse and then plan how I might finish it off. Certainly not “Art”, but just a simple composition that can illustrate some elements of design.

Smart woman! I often rummage through my kitchen for ‘patterns’ that are just the right size!
