I don’t know how to say this — I’m blown away!!! I just got a surprise phone call from Crystal at IQA. She told me the most amazing news! Windblown won one of the top eight awards for the upcoming International Quilt Festival in Houston!
I wasn’t sure I heard her right, so I made her say it three times while I laughed nervously. Then I wrote it down so it would sink in… Wow! My stomach is still all fluttery. I have no more words! Thanks for letting me share 🙂

Enjoy every moment of it the award. I had the honor of winning a top award a few years back, and it was one of the best experiences of my life. If you like keeping momentoes, bring something to flatten one of the flowers from the beautiful bouquet that you’ll get. And take lots of pictures, and have people take pictures of you sitting near your beautiful quilt, with your flowers, and your ribbon, and enjoy every second of it!

Fantastic quilt. I never think a photo of a quilt quite convays what it is like to see a quilt in person. But your quilt, it fantasitc in the photo (love all the quilting details) and I am sure it will blow a viewer away.
