It’s true. I’m a homebody at heart. Even though I really enjoyed speaking and teaching at the North Coast Needlers this week, it’s so nice to be back in my own little nest.
This speaking and teaching trip was the first time I was able to use my new Qube Carts (on the right). I think I’m going to love these! I bought two of them a few weeks back. They fold down to less than four inches thick, so they don’t take up much space when I need to store them between speaking engagements. When unfolded, they are about 15″ by 17″ by 18″ high, so they hold quite a lot of supplies. It was so nice to be able to just roll all my supplies into the guild meeting, instead of carrying big, heavy boxes. Not that I do any carrying — that’s why DH comes along!
I also bought a one Qube Caddy (on the left). It is the same collapsible cart with a fabric cover that has more than 50 pockets, some on the inside, some on the outside. I was able to organize all of the supplies for my workshop, and everything was within handy reach. I love things that organize! I’m a bit quirky, too, because the Qube Cart that comes with the blue and gray caddy is black and red. That just would have irritated me no end to have one black and red cart and two gray carts. The dealer was very kind and sent me a gray cart instead. Talk about good customer service! I really appreciate them for being so accomodating to my obsessive-compulsiveness 🙂
The carts seem well-built enough for my needs and they certainly were handy. It was raining the day of the workshop, so it was nice to have everything covered so it could stay dry. The carts come with a hard, detachable cover. The printer that I bring to workshops won’t fit inside the cart, but it sits nicely on top and is very secure with a bungy cord. I will probably organize things a bit differently next time, but there’s so much potential and so many pockets I didn’t even use yet. I think I’m in love…
