Windblown on the front page!

I received a lovely surprise today. Meryl Ann Butler emailed me to let me know that Windblown is on the front page today! See it there at the bottom of the photo to the left? Meryl Ann wrote a terrific article, “Move Over, Monet: Quilt Art is Fine Art” and she included a photo of Windblown along with my brief description of my goals for that particular quilt. Review of 2013

My family

It’s nice to look back and reflect a bit, so here’s my short review of 2013. Thankfully it was a bit less eventful than 2012. There were several things I split my attention between. I spent quite a bit of time speaking and teaching at numerous quilt guilds across the country. Sweet hubby and I traveled to California, Des Moines, Decatur, and all over Ohio. Windblown is currently on tour with a special exhibit for the book, “Art Quilt Portfolio: People and Portraits.” Last week it was on display at the very first venue of the … Continue reading

Windblown is a Zoom Quilt

Windblown on is a Zoom Quilt on The Quilt Show

Cathy Geier of Patchworks that Praise tipped me off. Apparently Windblown is a Zoom Quilt on The Quilt Show. While I had never even heard of Zoom Quilts, it is pretty cool. When you got to their website (, you can move your cursor over the image and see a detailed close-up of the stitching. If you’re using an iPad or other mobile device, there’s a special link off to … Continue reading

2013 Quilt Odyssey

Windblown has been traveling a bit this summer. This past weekend it was at Quilt Odyssey in Hershey, Pennsylvania. It came home on Wednesday with a little something extra tucked into its box. Inside was an honorable mention ribbon and some very nice comments from the judges. … Continue reading
